Job summary

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for a Teaching Assistant in the HKU Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (ICCN) to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

The appointee will support the MCGRM programme and liaise between the institute and students to ensure smooth course delivery and compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, social sciences, political science or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English; good command of Chinese.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of teaching activities, including preparing course materials and tutorials.
• Support grading and assessment administration according to rubrics and guidelines.
• Serve as first contact for student enquiries related to course administration.
• Facilitate communication between students and the institute.
• Ensure compliance with university policies on integrity and data privacy.
• Monitor attendance, exams and related events as assigned.
• Contribute to curriculum development and design.
• Coordinate student feedback surveys and assessment materials for external review.
• Undertake administrative duties as assigned.
