Job summary

United Asia Finance Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Application Developer/Analyst to join our team. You will gather business needs, evaluate software solutions, and design/supervise implementation of core banking and payment related systems.

The role requires 5+ years in application development, strong Java and Spring Boot/Cloud skills, REST APIs, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines. Fluent English and Chinese are assets as we work across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Over 5 years of application software development experience with 1-2 years in analysis and design.
• Major projects on Core Banking, Deposit and Payment related operations.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business needs with users.
• Evaluate and recommend software packages and solutions to meet business needs.
• Review and provide recommendations on application software improvement.
• Design, supervise development and verify delivered results.
• Ensure development work follows department standards and guidelines.
• Prepare documentation of the analysis and design work.
• Assist PM/AVP, Application Development to plan and supervise implementation.
• Ensure the software development progresses according to schedule and participate in development when necessary to meet the predefined schedule.
• Provide technical support on production systems and rollout of new systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business needs with users

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information Technology or relevant qualification
• Over 5 years of experience in application software development with at least 1-2 years in system analysis and design
• Major projects work on Core Banking, Deposit and Payment related operation projects
• Solid experience in Java, Spring Boot/Cloud and related application framework
• Strong technical skill in Message Queue, REST APIs integration and Database SQL
• DevOps experience, familiar with CI/CD pipelines and software deployment process
• Knowledge of cloud-native application, micro-services, Docker, containers, and Kubernetes will be an advantage
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
