ASK IT Limited in Hong Kong seeks a NOC Engineer to provide 24x7 first- and second-line network operations center support for enterprise infrastructure. You will monitor, triage, troubleshoot, and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and vendors.
You will work with Cisco/Huawei/Juniper devices and common monitoring tools, follow ITIL workflows, and maintain accurate incident logs while ensuring security baselines and audit readiness.
As a NOC Engineer, you will provide 24x7 first- and second-line network operations center support across an enterprise-scale, mission-critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for real-time network monitoring, proactive fault detection, incident response, troubleshooting, and coordinating resolution with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
Provide 24x7 continuous monitoring, operational support, and event management for enterprise network infrastructure and services.
Act as the first point of contact for network incidents; perform initial triage, fault diagnosis, and hands‑on troubleshooting under pressure.
Monitor network performance, health, and availability using enterprise network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, SevOne, NetBrain, Cacti).
Follow ITIL-aligned service management workflows, managing incident tickets from creation to resolution, while escalating severe issues according to standard operating procedures.
Coordinate incident resolution with internal engineering teams, telecom service providers, hardware vendors, and cross‑functional technology teams.
Perform routine operational maintenance, standard configuration changes, and support scheduled change windows following change management policies.
Document technical incident logs, root‑cause analyses, operational runbooks, and recurring performance reports.
Maintain strict compliance with operational protocols, security baselines, and audit requirements applicable to regulated environments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of hands‑on experience in network operations or NOC environments (prior enterprise or regulated financial services NOC experience is highly preferred).
In‑depth understanding of IP networking protocols, including TCP/IP, ARP, STP, DHCP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, and SNMP.
Hands‑on operational and troubleshooting experience with enterprise network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Arista, Aruba, and Ruckus.
Hands‑on experience with next‑generation firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point) is considered an advantage.
Practical exposure to network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, SevOne, NetBrain, Cacti).
Solid understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL Foundation certification is a plus).
Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP or Huawei HCIP (or equivalent) are preferred.
Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to maintain composure under high‑pressure outage scenarios.
Ability and willingness to work flexible 24x7 rotating shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Successful completion of required onboarding processes and standard background checks.
Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
