Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University invites applications for the Student Services Officer (SOL) position in the School of Open Learning. The role focuses on executing social media and digital marketing strategies, promoting programmes, and supporting student recruitment activities across roadshows, expos and events.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree, preferably with 3 years post-qualification working experience in marketing or event management.
• Experience in sales and marketing is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach in managing multiple priorities effectively and an ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• A good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua.
• Proficient PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategies to raise awareness of the School and its programmes.
• Support student recruitment activities, including roadshows, expos and networking events.
• Identify new platforms, tools, partnerships, and market opportunities to boost school visibility and student acquisition.
• Provide support to study programme administration, course registration and various student academic consultations.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure distance-learning and part-time student support is effective.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
