Job summary

The Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Office at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology seeks a self-motivated Assistant Officer to support daily operations of the Recruitment and Outreach team. The role reports to the Head of Student Recruitment and Outreach and involves handling enquiries, event coordination, and logistics across channels.

Qualifications include at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong communication in English and Chinese, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in handling customer service and enquiry management is preferred.
• Candidates without an undergraduate degree will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist at front desk and manage enquiries via email, live chat and other channels.
• Maintain and update website and contact list database.
• Provide administrative and operational support including managing facility and venue bookings and event logistics.
• Assist in outreach activities and program coordination and administrative tasks.
• Assist the Head with clerical tasks and coordinate among team members.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Head.
