Job summary

AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to prepare and cook dishes following standard procedures and recipes. You will ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control across the kitchen operations.

The role requires at least 10 years in hospitality and is supported by an Executive Chinese Chef for menu development and testing. You will contribute to smooth daily operations in a large-scale venue.

Qualifications

• F. 3 or above
• A minimum of 10 years solid experience in Hospitality Industry

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in accordance with procedures, recipe and instructions.
• Ensure quality by checking taste, temperature and presentation; comply with portions.
• Ensure food safety by preventing spoiled ingredients and by keeping ill staff from handling food.
• Assist Executive Chinese Chef in planning and development of new menus and promotions; conduct food testing.
• Maintain consistent standards of production and presentation across AWE.
• Support NUVA Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations to run smoothly.
• Supervise kitchen operations for efficiency, productivity and cost control; uphold high standards.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in accordance with the standard procedures, recipe and given instructions.
• Ensure the quality of all food prepared in the assigned kitchen by regularly checking taste, temperature and visual presentation. Ensure all dishes are properly presented and garnished and comply with established portion standards.
• Ensure food quality and safety by preventing the use of spoiled or contaminated ingredients at any stage of food preparation and by ensuring that employees who are ill or suffering from an infection do not participate in food preparation or handling.
• Assist the Executive Chinese Chef in the planning and development of new menus and food promotions. Conduct food testing for new products to ensure that their quality and presentation meet established standards.
• Maintain consistent standards of food production and presentation throughout AWE.
• Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the designated kitchen and assist the NUVA Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Supervise kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness, while maintaining consistently high standards of food production and presentation throughout AWE.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
