Job summary

The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) is seeking a Shift Assistant Engineer to support safe operation of gas production, monitor unit operations and assist in multi-skilled maintenance.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in electrical, chemical, mechanical, or marine engineering with at least two years of experience; petro-chemical industry experience is an added advantage; shift duties with an allowance are provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in electrical, chemical, mechanical, or marine engineering
• 2+ years of relevant working experience
• Petro-chemical industry experience is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe operation of gas production and control of unit operations
• Work with the team to perform maintenance and multi-skilled tasks for reliability and efficiency
• Adhere to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 & 55001 management systems
• Provide technical support to other functional entities in the Plant
• Perform other duties as required
• Shift duties are required with Shift Allowance

Education

Diploma or Certificate in electrical/chemical/mechanical/marine engineering

Registered Electrical Worker Certificate - Grade H0 (preferred)

Shift Assistant Engineer (With Shift Allowance)

The Job

Assist in the smooth and safe operation of gas production including control of all unit operations and auxiliary equipment.

Work with the team to perform maintenance and other multi-skilled tasks with an aim to maintain plant reliability and efficiency.

Adhere to and carry out duties in accordance to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 & 55001 management systems.

Provide technical support and assistance to other functional entities in the Plant.

Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Shift duty is required but with Shift Allowance.

The Person

Diploma or Certificate in electrical, chemical, mechanical, or marine engineering discipline with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.

Working experience in petro-chemical industry is an added advantage.

Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Team player, self-disciplined and highly motivated.

With Registered Electrical Worker Certificate - Grade H0 is highly preferred .

Candidates with educational qualifications below the diploma level will be considered for the position of Shift Technician.
