Job summary

The Hong Kong And China Gas Co Ltd is seeking an HSE Engineer to conduct technical safety audits for group projects and joint ventures, and to compose and review technical guidelines for new businesses and continuous improvement. You will gather data for preventive controls across business units, analyze safety performance, plan safety promotions and support China projects.

A bachelor degree in engineering or safety with 2+ years' experience is required; bilingual in Chinese and English;

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Safety required.
• 2+ years relevant experience, preferably in gas engineering.
• Strong communication in Chinese and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical safety audits for Group projects and joint ventures.
• Compose and review technical guidelines for new businesses and continuous improvement.
• Gather data for preventive control measures across all business units.
• Analyze Group Safety Performance and suggest management measures for accident prevention.
• Plan and organize Group Safety Promotion themes and activities.
• Review Group HSE Management System documentation.
• Provide technical support on HSE issues to Business Units.

Job description

Conduct technical safety audits for projects and joint venture in the Group

Compose and review technical guidelines for new businesses and continuous improvement

Conduct analysis on Group Safety Performance and suggest management measures for accident prevention

Plan and organize Group Safety Promotion theme and activities

Compose and review Group HSE Management System documentation

Provide technical support regarding HSE issues to Business Units

The Person:

Holder of Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering or Safety discipline

At least 2 years relevant experience, preferably in gas engineering, candidates with more experiences will be considered as Engineer

Good interpersonal and communication skills with good spoken and written Chinese, English

Proficient in MS Office, PC and software applications. Knowing AI applications would be an advantage

With strong sense of responsibility, service-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under pressure

Good problem solving and communication skills with an analytical and strategic mindset

Team player and highly motivated

Provide support to China projects as required
