The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) seeks a hands-on lead engineer to supervise technicians in maintenance, testing, and operation of gas pressure regulation facilities and transmission network assets.

You will plan and monitor installations, review drawings and documents, manage maintenance records and rosters, and liaise with consultants, contractors and internal departments to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operations.

Competenze

• Higher Diploma or above in Engineering discipline or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering, preferably in plant maintenance and frontline supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a preference for Microsoft Office skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferable.
• Ability to work independently with robust analytical and practical problem-solving abilities
• Possession of a valid Class 1 & 2 driving license is advantageous
• Possess a strong analytical mindset, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure
• Require standby outside office hours
• Willing to work at site round the clock

• Oversee inspection, repair, leak detection, and maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor gas pipe installations, civil works, and contractor activities for engineering projects.
• Review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and contract submissions.
• Manage maintenance records, workforce deployment, timesheets, standby rosters, and daily operational activities.
• Liaise with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure effective project and maintenance coordination.
• Support emergency response operations and perform duties outside normal working hours when required.
