Job summary

FWD Hong Kong is seeking a Life Operations – Underwriting professional from Senior Officer to Manager level to develop and implement underwriting standards and manage SLA compliance.

You will assess medical and non-medical cases, liaise with distribution channels, perform due diligence, and contribute to projects. This role requires 4+ years underwriting experience and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• University graduate; professional insurance qualifications preferred (e.g., FLMI).
• At least 4 years of life/medical underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; team-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (written & spoken).
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement underwriting framework and guidelines.
• Monitor new business processing and underwriting SLA.
• Perform underwriting assessments on medical and non-medical cases.
• Collaborate with distribution channels to identify improvements.
• Review customer due diligence, AML/CTF duties per guidelines.
• Maintain relationships with agencies, bancassurance, and brokers.
• Participate in UATs and ad-hoc projects.
