Job summary

A prominent consulting firm in Hong Kong is looking for a Senior System Engineer to take charge of deskside IT support and lead IT infrastructure projects. This role requires a Higher Diploma in a relevant field, along with over 5 years of extensive experience in project implementation and IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux systems and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

• Responsible for deskside IT support and own IT system implementation projects
• Lead IT infrastructure projects, monitor project status and ensure projects are delivered with quality
• Handle IT software and hardware procurement, communicate with service partners and vendors
• Proactively review and suggest improvement plans to IT operations
• Handle cross function team / department projects
• Monitor security alerts, investigate, and resolve cyber security incidents
• Work with the IT teams to conduct regular system and application vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, source code reviews, threat, and IT compliance assessments
• Investigate, analyze, and effectively communicate report findings from threat assessments and vulnerability scans to senior management, business users and IT teams, and make recommendations for remediation

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related disciplines
• 5+ years solid working experience in project implementation and maintenance support, with broad IT infrastructure knowledge in Windows/Linux Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Virtualization and Enterprise-grade storage systems
• Familiar with deskside end user support operations
• Familiar with cloud technologies (O365, Azure & AWS) is preferred
• Track record in being a key person / leader of IT projects, as well as hands-on implementation capability
• Experience in server and network infrastructure monitoring and backup
• Experience in Data Center system infrastructure will be an advantage
• Experience in IT deskside operation audit will be an advantage
• Sound knowledgeable in common IT compliances
• Good working attitude with strong problem solving & inter-personal communication skill
• Good communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
