Job summary

NCS Group in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance our technical backbone. You will participate in project implementation and documentation, provide technical support, and review system documents for ongoing operations.

The role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure, networking devices, servers, hardware and system software components, with vendor liaison and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in IT or computer science.
• 3–5 years of infrastructure, network and end-user support experience.
• Experience with Linux or AIX servers and network/system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, switching and routing.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Certifications in Linux, Azure, AWS or cloud platforms and ZStack are preferred.
• Scripting skills (shell, Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork and self‑motivation.

Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

• High Diploma / Degree or above in Computer Science or IT related discipline
• At least 3~5 years working experiences in infrastructure, network and end user support
• Support servers (Linux or AIX), networks and systems as well as diagnostic and troubleshoot technical IT problems
• Knowledge of network communications including protocols, switching, and routing
• Familiar with virtualization (vmware, hyper‑v)
• Demonstrated expertise in IBM and HP brand support services.
• Holds certifications in Linux, Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms, as well as ZStack virtualization.
• Knowledge of basic scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts, Python, powershell) will be an advantage
• Self‑motivated, good communication and interpersonal skill and good team player
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance
