Job summary

Lingnan University invites applications for a Senior Programme Officer in the Division of Artificial Intelligence. The appointee will support the MScAAIS programme by coordinating proposals, surveys, admissions, timetabling, and events, while handling financial matters and reporting.

Strong English and Chinese, plus five years of relevant experience, are preferred. The role entails heavy administration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and data reporting across university units.

Qualifications

• A recognized bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant experience in program management or admin support.
• Experience in organizing events or managing executive-level programmes is a plus.
• Strong English and Chinese language skills; Putonghua also helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the programme director in preparing proposals and surveys.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure smooth programme operations.
• Coordinate course scheduling, admissions, and promotional activities.
• Manage admissions, registration, document verification, and visa processes.
• Handle budgeting, payments, and liaison with internal/external parties.
• Prepare annual programme reports and data submissions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• The position is for Master of Science in Agentic AI Systems (MScAAIS) programme and the appointee is expected to:
• Assist the programme director/coordinator in preparing the programme proposal and conduct relevant surveys
• Perform a wide range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the programme, including programme management and operation as well as admission and promotion
• Carry out various programme administrative tasks such as promotion, timetabling, scheduling programme courses and seminars and other teaching and learning activities, and other tasks pertaining to course operations
• Administer the admission, registration, document verification and visa application processes
• Coordinate administrative processes for course arrangement, examinations, student activities, course evaluations, and events
• Handle purchases, reimbursement, payments and other financial and budgeting matters
• Liaise with internal and external parties
• Handle quality assurance related matters such as secretary duties related to various committees
• Prepare annual programme report and other required reports as well as data reporting to various units of the university
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• A recognized bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant experience in program management, administrative support, or event coordination
• Experience in organizing high-end events or managing executive-level programs is a plus
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• High level of competence in computer literacy
• Willingness to assume various responsibilities with a passionate attitude
• Proactive mindset and strong analytical ability to carry out duties independently and efficiently with minimum supervision
