Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven project management experience leading complex mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in team leadership, staff development and performance management.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and design tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, understand requirements, and represent the company in communications.
• Oversee mechanical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring specs, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with objectives and best practices.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance to optimise processes.
• Review designs and specifications for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Identify and manage technical risks and mitigate delays and cost overruns.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Maintain liaison with clients and stakeholders to communicate progress.
