Mechanical Engineering Manager - Transportation System Operator
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineering professionals to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical mechanical assets and systems.

Description
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering maintenance activities across operational facilities and transportation systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability and availability.
- Oversee lifecycle management, inspection, testing, and performance improvement programmes for mechanical equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, statutory, regulatory, and engineering standards.
- Manage engineering projects including equipment upgrades, refurbishment programmes, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, resource planning, and technical reports for senior management.
- Lead and develop engineering teams through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or relevant professional membership is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Experience managing critical asset maintenance within transportation, cable-driven systems, rail, theme park, infrastructure, utilities, aviation, industrial plants, or other asset-intensive environments.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management, reliability engineering, and asset lifecycle management.
- Proven track record in contractor management and project delivery.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
