Job summary

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Officer to drive learning initiatives across the hotel. You will host interactive workshops, support internal trainers, and mentor student trainees, shaping a dynamic learning journey for associates.

You will oversee onboarding, English sessions for front-line staff, and monthly training plans, while coordinating HR events and career development activities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Hospitality/HR/Training or related social science.
• 2–3 years of L&D experience, preferably in an international hotel chain.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and New Associates Orientation sessions.
• Mentor student trainees and manage end-to-end onboarding, visa apps and allowances.
• Head the hotel-wide Departmental Trainers and coordinate training plans/reports.
• Administer digital learning platforms and manage Career Development Centre activities.
• Support cross-exposure programs and hotel-wide associate engagement events.

Job Summary

As our Senior Learning & Development Officer, you will be a key spark in our learning journey. You'll host interactive workshops, champion our digital learning initiatives, support our internal trainers, and walk alongside our student trainees every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Learning & Onboarding Facilitation: Lead our interactive New Associates Orientation and host welcoming gatherings for new joiners. Facilitate key service workshops and deliver practical conversational English sessions to support front-line associates.
• Trainee Engagement & Care: Serve as the main mentor for student trainees. Lead monthly meetings, guide their professional growth, and seamlessly handle end-to-end onboarding, visa applications, and allowance processing.
• Departmental Trainer Leadership: Act as the team leader for hotel-wide Departmental Trainers. Offer continuous coaching, coordinate training observations, and ensure monthly training plans and reports are submitted smoothly.
• L&D Operations & Digital Hub: Administer user accounts on our digital learning platforms and oversee our Career Development Centre. Manage course logistics, conduct hotel tours, prepare the Daily Briefing, and support hotel-wide HR events.
• HR Team Spirit: Support cross-exposure programs, coordinate company-sponsored training, and actively participate in hotel-wide associate engagement events and special HR projects.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Human Resources Management, Training, or a related social science discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant L&D experience, preferably within an international hotel chain. Experience in the hospitality industry is a massive advantage.
• Vibe & Skills: Energetic, approachable, and creative with great team spirit and a natural ability to connect with people and present with confidence. You are highly organized, tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and digital learning tools, cool under pressure, with professional facilitation skills and fluent in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus).
