Job summary

Bank of Singapore seeks a Senior IT Support Engineer to act as SME within Application Services for Wealth Management users. You will ensure production stability across client onboarding, order management, portfolio management, and digital platforms, while resolving incidents and coordinating with development teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, .NET, Python, and strong database and OS knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3+ years of experience in application technologies in Banking and Financial Services organizations.
Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Microsoft .NET, Python and related technologies.
Proficient in database management (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL), operating systems (Linux, Windows Server), batch management (Control-M).
Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support for BOS staff, ensuring seamless business processes and system functionality.
Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end banking processes, collaborating with Front Office and other stakeholders.
Resolve production incidents and drive root-cause analysis with Problem Management techniques.
Propose automation for recurring incidents and reduce Level 1/2 support.
Provide on-call and on-site support on a rotation basis, including after-hours support.
Contribute to release management and testing of bug fixes and enhancements.
Collaborate with the Technology Architecture team to ensure robust, secure system design.
