Job summary

A Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Hong Kong will oversee the company’s technology environment, including Windows servers, AD, networking and cloud services. You will manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Entra ID, plus AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM) and Cloudflare protections.

The role requires strong security, disaster recovery planning and vendor coordination. You will act as a senior escalation point for IT operations, guide support staff, and ensure documentation, inventories

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong Windows Server & AD administration skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Entra ID.

Responsibilities

Our client is a well-known company in Hong Kong and they are actively looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to cope with their business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the company’s technology environment, covering Windows-based servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, core network services, file storage, virtualization and other business-critical infrastructure.
• Manage the Microsoft cloud environment, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Entra ID, with responsibility for identity administration, user lifecycle management, permissions and secure access.
• Own the reliability and security of the AWS environment, supporting services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC and IAM while maintaining appropriate controls around authentication, logging, monitoring and network security.
• Maintain connectivity across office and operational locations, troubleshooting and optimizing firewalls, switches, routers, VPN connections, wireless networks and related network infrastructure.
• Strengthen the organization’s IT security posture through vulnerability management, security reviews, patching, access audits, incident handling and implementation of preventive security measures.
• Administer internet-facing infrastructure and Cloudflare services, including DNS, SSL/TLS, WAF configurations and other controls designed to protect websites and externally accessible services.
• Lead infrastructure-related improvement initiatives and third-party engagements, coordinating MSPs and technology vendors on cloud, server, networking, security and infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for IT operations, providing Level 2/3 support, guiding IT Support staff, performing root cause analysis, maintaining disaster recovery readiness and keeping technical documentation, inventories and operating procedures up to date.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering or a comparable technical operations position.
• Strong practical background with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services and general server administration.
• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Entra ID, particularly identity management, user access, permissions and security-related configurations.
• Hands-on exposure to AWS production environments, with practical knowledge of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Security Groups, CloudTrail, GuardDuty and cloud monitoring or security practices.
• Good understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure security, including firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless networks, VMware or Hyper-V, backup technologies and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Experience performing or supporting security assessments, vulnerability remediation, access reviews, patch management, incident response, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage infrastructure vendors, MSPs and technical projects, together with strong troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Independent and accountable working style with the ability to manage priorities and drive issues through to resolution; exposure to Cloudflare WAF/DNS, PowerShell or automation, e-commerce environments, multi-site offices or warehouse operations would be an advantage.
