Spring GDS Asia Pacific (G3 Worldwide Hong Kong Ltd) is seeking a proactive Senior HR Manager to lead HR in Hong Kong. You will own talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, retention and engagement, with responsibility for policy updates and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on execution, cross-border collaboration, and the ability to negotiate with vendors while supporting management with HR insights and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• 10+ years of HR experience in multinational environments.
• Excellent knowledge of HK Labour Ordinance and related regulations.
• Hands-on with recruitment, onboarding and compensation processes.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Spring GDS Asia Pacific (G3 Worldwide Hong Kong Ltd) is part of a global logistics network supporting cross-border e-commerce and shipping solutions.

We are seeking a proactive, people-oriented and hands-on Senior HR Manager to join our Ops & Corporate Services team in Hong Kong.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full execution of HR functions, from talent acquisition, onboarding to compensation and benefits, retention and employee engagement.
• Responsible for the execution of the recruitment processes including but not limited to candidate selection and shortlisting after 1st interview.
• Propose and align the employment benefits for new joiners based on current salaries of staff and taking in mind the benchmarking for similar positions in the country of employment.
• Work together with tax and legal for hiring staff abroad via 3rd party agreements to make sure this is done complaint. Negotiate the terms with the 3rd parties involved.
• Negotiate the employee secondary benefits, like life insurance and medical insurance plans with our vendors and source for additional options.
• Prepare the annual and midterm performance review for all staff.
• Responsible for updating, review and propose changes to HR policy to make sure it is compliant to HK labour regulations and EOC.
• Proactively identify “people issues” and offer recommendations and proposal to the management team to help them to identify and implement effective solutions for the ongoing enhancement of the overall working environment.
• Work together with the external integrity lawyer when receiving official complaints.
• Identify the employee’s and the company’s needs, recommend and organize internal and external training and development opportunities to enhance employees' competencies for continuous advancement.
• Take charge of staff wellness, health and safety.
• Facilitate internal communication between departments and employees.
• Give first line HR advise to the management team regarding Hong Kong Labour Law, HR market news, environmental policy changes and things related to Asian and local culture.
• Participate in HR Internal and external audit to ensure compliance with the company policies.
• Act as an internal “trust” person within the company.
• Get up to date market data on HR related matters to ensure the company’s benefit, compensation and HR policies are competitive with the market, on a regular basis and provide updates.
• Lead the welfare committee and coordinate big company events and propose company activity calendar.
• Follow up on engagement survey results and prepare the action plan and coordinate the execution.
• Actively engage in the Spring HR community.
• Act as the back-up for the HR manager

Job Requirements

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years of Human Resources experience, preferably from working in a multinational company.
• Well-versed in local Employment Ordinance and other related Ordinances and Regulations.
• Experience with hiring staff via 3rd party in countries outside of Hong Kong.
• Experience in using HR systems.
• Proven experience in dealing with multi-cultural human resources issues.
• The candidate should have hands-on experience in using direct recruitment channels such as LinkedIn, including posting job advertisements and managing applications directly, next to working with recruitment agencies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels.
• Experienced in handling employee issues, staff engagement initiatives, and recruitment.
• Good understanding of the Business Principles and procedures.
• An understanding of the business environment to ensure that advice & guidance aligns with business aims & goals
• Well organised, strong sense of responsibility, detail minded, positive and can-do attitude; self-motivated, able to work independently.
• A strong team-player who can demonstrate commitment and proactively engage with members from the whole team.
• Good command in spoken and written English and Cantonese.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, English & Chinese Word processing.
