Job summary

China Merchants Securities International Company Limited (CMSI) in Hong Kong seeks a highly skilled Head of Fund Operations to oversee fund operations across private funds, ETFs, and discretionary accounts within our asset management business. You will lead a senior team, strengthen controls, and drive scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in fund operations, fund administration, fund accounting, middle office, or asset management operations.
• Proven team management experience with ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of private funds, ETFs, public funds, QFII, and Discretionary Account products.
• Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, brokers and external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fund operations across private funds, ETFs, public funds, QFII-related business, and Discretionary Account business.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the fund operations framework, control environment, and operating procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational processes, reporting Deliverables, and exception handling with external counterparties.
• Manage daily ETF, public and private fund operations including subscriptions/redemptions, cash flow, settlements, reconciliations, and NAV monitoring.
• Supervise system automation initiatives and new fund launches, including test case prep, UAT, and implementation support.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide required data and documentation.
• Support project initiatives, broker account openings, and due diligence to ensure compliance and risk controls.
• Perform KYC/AML reviews during account opening and subscriptions.
• Manage relationships with custodians, fund administrators, auditors, and other service providers.
• Monitor service quality and drive issue resolution and operational improvement.
• Partner with investment, trading, compliance, product, risk, and IT teams for new launches and automation.
• Identify, assess, and manage operational risks across the full fund lifecycle.
