Job summary

Webbe International (Greater China) Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Senior Director to lead and expand our Financial Institutions (FIG) coverage and institutional banking practice across Hong Kong and the APAC region. You will manage high-level mandates for global banks and top-tier Chinese financial institutions.

The role focuses on placing senior coverage bankers, relationship managers, and product specialists, driving market mapping, and expanding the firm’s commercial footprint

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in corporate banking, FI coverage, or front-office financial services recruitment.
• Deep domain expertise in institutional banking, transaction banking, or cross-border financing.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English to service cross-border clients and candidates.
• Proven track record in client management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership.
• Ideally based in Shanghai, China.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end executive mandates for FIG coverage, institutional banking, and cross-border financing teams.
• Manage and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers across global and regional financial institutions in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mainland China.
• Drive market mapping, talent assessment, and strategic advisory for institutional clients.
• Expand the firm’s commercial footprint and win new regional coverage mandates.
