Qualifications

• 5+ years of debt recovery experience, ideally cross-border.
• Fluency in English and at least one South Asian language.
• Strong knowledge of PDPO and HK recovery regulations.
• Excellent written communication and case documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of an assigned case portfolio with detailed logs and recovery strategy documentation.
• Conduct amicable negotiations with debtors across South Asian and Western contexts.
• Escalate cases to legal partners when amicable resolution isn’t achievable, with structured handover briefs.
• Maintain full PDPO compliance across debtor contact, records, and communications.
• Report recovery progress to clients with transparent, SLA-tracked updates.

This is a client-facing, results-driven role suited to a confident negotiator who thrives on resolving cases others consider unrecoverable. You will operate within HKMA-aligned compliance standards and strict PDPO guidelines governing all debtor contact.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end management of an assigned case portfolio, maintaining detailed communication logs and recovery strategy documentation.
• Conduct amicable negotiations with debtors across South Asian and Western cultural contexts, using native-language fluency where applicable.
• Escalate cases to legal partners when amicable resolution is not achievable, preparing structured handover briefs.
• Maintain full PDPO compliance across every debtor contact, record, and communication channel.
• Report recovery progress to clients with transparent, SLA-tracked updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 40-60 active cross-border recovery cases
• Conduct amicable negotiations in English and at least one South Asian language
• Maintain accurate communication logs and case documentation
• Coordinate with legal partners on escalation cases
• Ensure full PDPO compliance across all debtor engagement
• Deliver transparent client reporting against SLAs

Requirements

• 5+ years of debt recovery or collections experience, ideally cross-border
• Fluency in English and at least one of Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, or Nepali
• Demonstrated negotiation and settlement track record
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong PDPO and recovery regulations
• Excellent written communication and case documentation discipline
• Comfortable working in a regulated, compliance-first environment
