Job summary

The Pacific Insurance Co Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Claims Manager to lead motor, EC and property/casualty claims operations. You will guide the team, ensure timely settlements, conduct data-driven reviews, and develop strategies to improve claim outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold ANZIIF Senior Associate or ACII, with 5+ years in claims, strong negotiation and bilingual English/Chinese communication, and readiness to start immediately or on short notice.

Qualifications

• ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or ACII preferable.
• Degree holder with claims management experience.
• Minimum 5 years in claims, esp. EC and property/casualty.
• Proven team supervision and training ability.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Promptly handle Motor, EC and Property/Casualty claims.
• Verify information with stakeholders for focused service.
• Supervise claims team in daily operations and improvements.
• Assist manager with claims data analysis reports.

Promptly handle Motor, Employees’ Compensation (EC) and Property/Casualty claims;

Seek verification from stakeholders to ensure the delivery of focused claims service;

Supervise the claims team in daily claims operation, enquiry and continuous claims process improvement;

Assist manager in preparation of management reports on claims data analysis;

Develop claims handling strategies to ensure that appropriate reserves are set up with due investigations conducted and appropriate specialists engaged;

Ensure legal compliance, adhere to claims processes, and timely payments;

Facilitate the settling of complex claims and process related paperwork; and

Assist Ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

Degree holder with ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or ACII qualification is preferable;

Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience with a proven track record in claims management, particularly employee compensation (EC) and property casualty claims;

Demonstrated experience in team management and training capabilities;

Proficient in MS Windows & Office operations;

Good negotiation and communication skills;

Proficient in use of written/oral English and Chinese Languages;

Self-motivated, independent, detailed-minded and willing to learn; and

Immediately available or short notice is highly preferred.
