Job summary

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking an Automation Development Lead to drive intelligent automation across IT operations in Hong Kong. You will own design, development, deployment and production support for workflow automation, AI/ML, chatbots, and monitoring platforms, with cloud exposure in AWS and Azure.

The role demands hands-on engineering blended with Agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Must hold degree or equivalent in computing or a related field.
Experience in ITSM and ITIL practices with delivery impact.
Proven ability to design and implement automation in Agile environments.
Familiar with cloud platforms, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and security awareness.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with users, tech teams and vendors to deliver scalable automation solutions.
Analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs and plans.
Participate in Agile Scrum delivery activities in various roles.
Manage work priorities, dependencies and risks for timely delivery.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with clear docs and updates.
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using best practices.
Deliver enhancements and fixes while driving continuous improvement.
Provide Level 2/3 production support for systems and services.
Partner with leads to define approaches for web and mobile apps.
Support monitoring, chatbot, AI/ML, AIOps and ITSM platforms.
