Job summary

Cathay Pacific Group is seeking an Automation Developer to drive intelligent automation across IT operations. You will work on workflow automation, log ingestion, auto-healing, self-service automation, monitoring, ITSM tools, AI/ML, and chatbots using AWS and Azure within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in IT with full software development lifecycle exposure.
• Strong ITSM/ITIL knowledge and practices.
• Hands-on with JavaScript, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, chatbots, and AIOps.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and ELK stack.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable automation solutions.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, development plans, and implementation activities.
• Participate in Agile Scrum delivery activities as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or developer as required.
• Manage work independently, balancing priorities, dependencies, and risks.
• Provide clear technical documentation and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions and prototypes.
• Deliver enhancements and bug fixes while supporting continuous improvement.
• Provide Level 2/3 production support and troubleshooting.
• Define technical approaches for web and mobile apps with leads and architects.
• Support monitoring, chatbot, AI/ML, AIOps, and ITSM platforms.
