Job summary

Happy Life Education Foundation Limited seeks a dedicated Secondary School Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across Lower Secondary Science, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS/A Level, Edexcel AS/A Level and IBDP Chemistry in Hong Kong. You will foster inquiry-based learning and contribute to character education and student leadership development.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field, a recognised teaching qualification, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level, or IBDP Chemistry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Experience teaching high-achieving students.
• Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural classrooms.
• Technological proficiency and familiarity with AI tools in education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Chemistry & Science lessons aligned with the curriculum standards.
• Teach Lower Secondary Science, IGCSE, AS/A Level, and IBDP Chemistry.
• Monitor and assess student performance, offering feedback and targeted support.
• Collaborate with the Science Department to develop curriculum and teaching materials.
• Encourage a supportive, inquiry-based learning environment.
• Promote character development and value-based education.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.
• Engage with students in co-curricular and leadership activities.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, school events, and professional growth opportunities.
