Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
- Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons aligned with curriculum standards for Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, AS/A Level and IBDP.
- Teach a broad range of media and techniques (drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital art, mixed media).
- Monitor and assess student progress; provide constructive feedback and targeted support.
- Develop and implement a progressive Art curriculum and teaching resources.
- Encourage inquiry-based, creative practice and critical reflection.
Pastoral & Student Development:
- Promote character development, cultural appreciation and value-based education through the arts.
- Support students’ academic, social and emotional well-being.
- Prepare and coach students for art competitions, exhibitions and portfolio development.
- Encourage student leadership through clubs, exhibitions and community art projects.
Collaboration & Professional Development:
- Contribute to departmental planning, cross-curricular projects and school events.
- Participate in professional development and share best practice with colleagues.
- Collaborate with school leadership on visual identity and campus decoration initiatives.
- Support extracurricular programs such as after-school art clubs, workshops, public exhibitions and art study tour.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Art Education or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Experience and knowledge of IBDP, Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level Art programs.
- Proven ability to build and implement an Art curriculum across age groups.

- Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction.
- Passion for Art education and student creative development.
- Ability to teach across Primary and Secondary levels.
- Competence with traditional and digital art tools and technologies.
- Ability to organize exhibitions, prepare portfolios and coach competition entrants.
- Willingness and ability to contribute to campus decoration and visual projects.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching high-achieving and diverse, multicultural cohorts.
- Experience in organizing school-wide art events, public exhibitions or community art projects.
- Familiarity with using technology and AI tools to support art teaching and assessment.
Preferred Candidate Profile (priority given to candidates who):
- Hold a related educational background in Art or Art Education.
- Have previous work experience in a school setting.
- Demonstrate experience and strong knowledge of IBDP, A Level and IGCSE Art.
- Can build and implement a comprehensive Art curriculum.
- Are able to teach effectively from Primary through Secondary.
- Can design and lead campus decoration and visual enhancement projects.
- Have experience preparing students for art competitions and exhibitions.
