Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Sea Logistics Process Excellence Manager to drive operational excellence across East Asia and Oceania. Based in Singapore, you will partner with country teams, Global Services and Sea Logistics leadership to improve process compliance, productivity, customer experience and performance.

You’ll lead root cause analyses, promote standardised procedures, and push automation and digitalisation efforts to uplift efficiency across the region.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Sea Logistics operations or process excellence.
• Proven ability to lead improvement initiatives in international settings.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Sea Logistics processes.
• Experience with process mapping, KPI analysis, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Identify process inefficiencies and pain points across Sea Logistics, and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Lead improvement initiatives to lift productivity, quality, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and support countries with corrective actions.
• Promote Lean, standardisation and best practices across the region.
• Ensure adherence to global Sea Logistics standards and implement SOPs and work instructions.
• Assess process compliance through reviews, workshops, and operational assessments.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation and simplification.
• Support rollout of global Sea Logistics initiatives, projects and system enhancements.
• Review KPIs, identify trends and gaps, and support countries with action plans.
• Track and report the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives.

About The Role

Kuehne+Nagel is looking for a Sea Logistics Process Excellence Manager to drive operational excellence, process standardisation, and continuous improvement across East Asia and Oceania.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the VP Sea Logistics Operational Excellence (East Asia + Oceania), you will act as a subject matter expert. You will work with country management teams, operational stakeholders, Global Services, and Sea Logistics leadership to improve process compliance, productivity, customer experience, and operational performance.

What you’ll do

• Identify process inefficiencies and operational pain points across Sea Logistics, and recommend sustainable solutions


• Lead improvement initiatives that lift productivity, quality, service delivery, and customer satisfaction


• Facilitate root cause analysis sessions and support countries in putting corrective and preventive actions in place


• Promote Lean, standardisation, and best practice methodologies across the region


• Ensure adherence to Kuehne+Nagel’s global Sea Logistics operational standards


• Support countries in implementing standard operating procedures and work instructions


• Assess process compliance through reviews, workshops, and operational assessments


• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, and simplification


• Support the rollout of global Sea Logistics initiatives, projects, and system enhancements


• Review operational KPIs, identify trends and gaps, and support countries with action plans


• Track and report the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in Sea Logistics operations, process excellence, or operational management


• A strong understanding of freight forwarding and end-to-end Sea Logistics processes


• Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives in an international environment


• Skills in process mapping, process improvement methodologies, and KPI and performance analysis


• Project management and implementation experience


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and advanced Microsoft Office and reporting tools skills


• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with strong stakeholder management and influencing ability


• The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and bring a change management and coaching mindset
