Job summary

CPJobs International seeks an experienced engineer to translate client requirements into tailored technical solutions and lead tendering efforts in the material handling sector.

You will collaborate with design and project teams, prepare technical proposals, and assist in cost estimation and client demos. English and Chinese fluency required for multinational interactions and site visits in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 2–5 years in an engineering role, ideally with sales/tendering exposure.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manager to understand client requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Manage new enquiries; maintain relationships; act as key contact for technical queries and project support.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals, drawings (AutoCAD) and specifications for bids/tenders.
• Liaise with internal design, controls and project engineering teams for feasibility and alignment.
• Assist in cost estimation, budgeting and BOQ preparation.
• Support pre-sales activities including client presentations, site visits and product demos.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors and emerging technologies in material handling.

What you are in charge of:

• Manage new incoming enquiries. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, acting as a key point of contact for technical queries, follow-ups, and ongoing project support.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals, drawings (using AutoCAD), and specifications for bids and tenders.
