Job summary

Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings Limited seeks an experienced accounting professional to oversee daily transactions and month-end closings, ensuring data accuracy in the operating system and its interface with the accounting system. The role requires strong financial reporting knowledge and hands-on analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline required
• CPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting with strong financial reporting knowledge
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review daily transactions to ensure data accuracy and completeness in operating system
• Perform month-end closing activities in operating system
• Coordinate interface between operating system and accounting system to ensure data accuracy, completeness and compliance
• Prepare regular risk exposure reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure risk exposure reports are accurate, complete and aligned with internal risk frameworks
• Support implementation of risk management systems or tools
• Support ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned

Job description

• Oversee and review daily transactions to ensure data accuracy and completeness in operating system
• Perform month-end closing activities in operating system
• Coordinate and assist in interface between operating system and accounting system, ensuing data accuracy, data completeness and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare regular risk exposure reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure risk exposure reports are accurate, complete, and aligned with internal risk frameworks
• Support implementation of risk management systems or tools
• Support ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting field, with strong financial reporting knowledge and experience
• Qualified CPA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage
• Proactive and strong individual contributor. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with IMOS and D365 is an advantage
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua
