Job summary

The Wing On Department Stores (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Store Development Manager – Projects & Facilities to lead retail store development, renovation and maintenance across all department stores and offices in Hong Kong. You will oversee interior design, construction works and ongoing upkeep to ensure on-time delivery, quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, surveying, building studies, interior design, engineering or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of solid experience in retail renovation, store development, project management and/or building maintenance, including major renovation projects.
• 5+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, fire services, water, plumbing and other building services; Electrical Worker Licence is an advantage.
• Strong project management with knowledge of construction sequence, site coordination, cost estimation and monitoring.
• Experience liaising with landlords, building management, consultants, contractors and suppliers with strong negotiation skills and commercial sense.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Fluent English and Chinese; immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail store development, renovation and maintenance projects for all department stores and office premises.
• Oversee store interior design, renovation works and maintenance, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and required standards.
• Plan, monitor and coordinate project works, including site inspection, construction progress, quality and cost control.
• Liaise with landlords, building management, consultants, contractors and external parties on renovation and maintenance matters.
• Source and evaluate contractors and suppliers, obtain quotations and negotiate costs for best value.
• Understand stores’ operational needs and provide practical project arrangements.
• Supervise project team, including drawing and design work, coordinating with external parties on site implementation.
• Monitor and follow up maintenance across stores and offices, including urgent repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve store facilities, processes and cost efficiency.
