Job summary

Max China Engineering Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to manage contracts, prepare interim payments and assist with final accounts and cost control. The role involves cost estimation, budgeting and tender pricing, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will hold a quantity surveying qualification, have at least 3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or higher cert in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Degree or above in QS with professional qualifications such as MHKIS MRICS RPS.
• HKIS QS Corporate Membership or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years relevant experience in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

• Responsible for the administration of main contract and subcontracts
• Responsible for Interim payments preparation and measurement works
• Settlement of Final Account of main contracts and subcontracts
• Valuation of Compensation Event and Site Instruction for subcontracts
• Project cost estimation, cost control and budget management
• Prepare and submit pricing documents for the tender submission of potential projects
• Material procurement
• Subletting and prepare subcontractor's payment

Qualification:

• Holder of a Degree, Diploma or Higher Certificate in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Degree or above in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, Preferably with relevant professional qualifications such as MHKIS, MRICS, RPS
• Holder of HKIS Quantity Surveying Division Corporate Membership or an equivalent qualification
• Min. 3 years relevant experience in quantity surveying
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and hard working
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD experience would be an advantage
• Experience in NEC Contract would be an advantage
• Applicants with less qualification and/or experience will be considered as Assistant Quantity Surveyor
