Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Hong Kong. You will be involved in contract administration, cost estimation, quantity surveying and claims management across major projects.

Applicants should have a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 5 years of experience for the QS role, strong English communication, and the ability to work on-site with contractors.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English for contract documentation.

Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team!

This is a solid opportunity to join one of Hong Kong's largest construction contractors, working across a broad range of construction projects. The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of quantity surveying functions, from cost estimation through to contractual claims management.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited has been operating in Hong Kong since 1979, engaging in building construction and civil engineering works. The company is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong and holds Group C approved contractor status across five major public works categories.

What you'll be doing?

• Contract administration: Manage the administration of main contracts and subcontracts across construction projects.
• Cost estimation & control: Handle cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control throughout project delivery.
• Material procurement: Oversee procurement of materials in line with project requirements.
• Claims management: Administer contractual claims and assess subcontractors' claims.

Who are they looking for?

• Academic qualification: A degree or above in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent discipline is required.
• Relevant experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience on the main contractor side is expected for the Quantity Surveyor position.
• No prior experience: Candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply and will be considered for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
• English proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English is required for contract documentation and communication purposes.
