Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre(Management) Limited is seeking a procurement professional to manage daily purchase requests, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain supplier relations to secure best terms.
Responsibilities include monitoring deliveries, coordinating with departments, training staff, and implementing the purchase order system in a fast-paced hospitality setting at HKCEC.
Responsibilities:
Processes daily orders of the purchase requests or the market lists from all user department within the centre.
Ensure all Purchased F&B items are met the HACCP requirement.
Maintains and updates the specifications of the food, beverage and general items.
Verifies alternative biddings from various sources and makes recommendations for Head’s approval.
Sources variety of food, beverage and general items in the market for supporting menu planning and creativity.
Negotiates with suppliers for the most favourable terms and conditions to ensure the best-buy.
Monitors delivery of goods to ensure on time availability of food, beverage and general items for the operations.
Inspects quality of goods delivered by spot check,and follows up subsequently.
Liaises with user department to co-ordinate need by date and quality of supplies.
Implements the purchase order administration system.
Trains and develops the subordinates of appropriate calibre to provide the required standard of service.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor or above.
Requirements:
Higher diploma or above in procurement, purchasing and supply chain management or other related fields.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in food and beverage purchasing or supplies field, preferably in hotel and catering industry
Familiar with Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Inventory System, Integrated Material Supply System; HACCP qualification and exposure.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin would be advantageous.
Good computer skills of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Strong business negotiation skills.
Proactive, hardworking and detail-minded.
High level of integrity, mature and positive thinking.
Able to work under pressure.
