Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Hong Kong seeks a dynamic professional to lead commercial fit-out and design & build projects from concept to completion, coordinating with clients, landlords, consultants and contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, excellent English and Putonghua, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring safety and quality across site

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Real Estate or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial fit-out and design-build projects.
• Independent yet strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive with initiative and a sense of responsibility.
• Well organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Putonghua), both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full-cycle commercial fit-out and design & build projects, from planning and design coordination through to execution and project close-out
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards
• Coordinate closely with clients, landlords, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables
• Review and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Proactively identify project risks, potential delays, or cost overruns, and implement mitigation strategies
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation in collaboration with the Project Manager, providing timely updates and escalation where required
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and health & safety requirements
• Manage procurement activities, including tendering, vendor evaluation, and contract administration
• Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to stakeholders
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including reports, progress updates, variation orders, and final accounts
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes and standards
