Job summary

Shanghai Construction Overseas Engineering Limited 上海建工海外工程有限公司 invites applications for the position of Project Manager for a building project in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong. The role requires a Bachelor degree and 9–10 years of experience in building construction and project management in Hong Kong.

Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of building regulations, site supervision, safety management, and strong liaison with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction and project management in Hong Kong.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
• Current Authorized Signatory for RGBC under the Hong Kong Buildings Ordinance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, program, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to achieve project goals in time and cost.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams, engineers, and site staff.
• Prepare project documentation, risk assessments, and progress reports for management review.

• Experience in liaison with Building Department, clients, consultants and stakeholders to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Current Authorized Signatory for a Registered General Building Contractor (RGBC) under the Hong Kong Buildings Ordinance is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
• Immediate availability preferred.
