Job summary

Hospital Authority - Kowloon Central Cluster invites applications for the Programmer (IT Operation) position in the Hong Kong Island Cluster. The role reports to the Analyst Programmer and covers implementation, maintenance and support of IT solutions.

The incumbent is expected to have a degree in Computer Science or related fields, with about two years of post-qualification IT experience, and skills across Windows, Mac OS, SQL Server and system documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines; or equivalent.
• 2 years' post-qualification working experience in IT or related fields.
• Experience in hospital redevelopment and commissioning.
• Experience in hospital IT operations and project implementation.
• Experience in supporting mobile devices, MS Windows and Mac OS platforms.
• Experience in Microsoft Server and SQL database management.
• Self-initiated, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong analytical skills with strong technical proficiency.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide help for implementation, maintenance, testing and modification of IT solutions in areas of responsibility.
• Provide user support on IT solutions in areas of responsibility.
• Install, configure and maintain system hardware, software or services.
• Assist in documentation of user specification, system changes and enhancement.
• Assist to liaise with users, contractors and other IT teams for program development and system maintenance.
• Assist to maintain system documentations and reports.
• Provide after-office-hours system support.
• Conduct various stages of testing including unit test, integration test, system test, load test etc.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Pay: HK$29,022 to HK$44,336 (HGPS Point 10 to 18) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities
