Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is recruiting for an IT Application Development and Management role to support the Hongkong Post. The position is contract-based for 3 months, with duties including maintaining and supporting web, application and database platforms across HKP offices.

The candidate should have 3+ years post-qualification IT experience, at least 2 years in government-related systems, and be able to work at multiple HKP locations with on-call requirements.

• Execute Disaster Recovery drills for critical applications.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.

Project Nature (T26) To maintain the application architecture including but not limited to web, application and database systems, provide technical support services and maintain IT applications in the HongkongPost with very high availability and reliability and good performance.

Duties

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the Hongkong Post;

The job duties requirements of the service are as follows:

• To implement, maintain and support the application platforms, including but not limited to, web, application and database systems;
• To maintain application and data availability, monitor performance and security configuration of IT systems;
• To conduct system implementation, testing, troubleshooting and on-going support with application team for new or maintenance projects;
• To perform regular web, application and database software patching and software updates;
• To execute the Disaster Recovery (DR) drill of each critical applications; and
• To execute the Disaster Recovery (DR) drill of each critical applications; and
• To perform any other assigned tasks.

Requirements

The support staff is required to:

• Solid knowledge and good technical skill on application servers (including Tomcat, JBoss and Oracle WebLogic) and database software (including Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server and etc) is mandatory;
• Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English, preference given to those good at both;
• Need to work in various location of HKP;
• Overtime and on-call work are required when necessary; and
• Criminal record check is required.

Technical Skills

• . At least 3 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM);
• . At least 2 years' experience in Oracle Real Application Cluster (OAC);
• . At least 2 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB);
• . 2 years' experience in Data Modeling (DMO) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills

• . At least 3 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
• . At least 2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
• . At least 2 years' experience in IT procurement (PRO);
• . 1 year's experience in managing Government IT standards (ITG) is an advantage.

• - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
