Job summary

Caritas - Hong Kong is seeking a Procurement Officer to oversee open tender processes, maintain a qualified supplier pool, and manage supplier data in FMIS. You will collaborate with the system team on supplier database projects and lead procurement activities from sourcing to contracting.

The role requires a Higher Diploma or above with 5+ years of procurement experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP and AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

Job description

We are a Catholic multi-service social welfare agency with over 6,000 employees. Applications are invited for the following opening reporting to the Procurement Manager:

Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Manage open tender processes for the Agency, including documentation, to ensure accuracy and transparency throughout the tender-opening process;

Diligently maintain a qualified supplier pool to support the services of the Agency via the Agency's evaluation and validation process;

Handle Supplier creation, changes and uploads in FMIS system;

Support category classification of supplier data base;

Serve as the key contact point with system development team regarding the supplier database project and development. Provide advice from procurement perspective to project team to enrich the process;

Take lead on procurement projects, from sourcing, tendering, awarding and contracting;

Prepare for various kinds of reports; and

Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Higher Diploma or above;

Minimum of 5 years' procurement experience or similar experience;

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of ERP and familiarity with AI tools are advantageous;

Strong critical thinking skills to conduct evaluation, identify risk and provide advice to the project team. Strong analytical skills and able to meet tight timelines;

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills; and

Self-motivated, able to multitask, and live Caritas values.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week

Work Location: Caine Road, Central

Entry Salary: Commensurate with working experience
