Job summary

BCW in Hong Kong is seeking a Solution Architect to support the sales team by translating client problems into technically robust cloud solutions and delivering compelling proposals. You will architect cloud-based deals, compare resources, and present convincing architectures to clients.

The role requires breadth across technologies, ability to deep dive into new tech, and maturity to maintain C-level relationships while identifying upsell opportunities and guiding delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science (or similar qualification).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, specifically Cloud platforms and services.
• At least 4 years in a client facing technical pre-sales role.
• Experience in Managed Services.
• Ability to conceptualize technical solutions and create deliverable architectures based on client requirements.
• Exceptional influential verbal and written communication skills.
• Personable with a selling spirit.
• Fluent in English mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team by understanding client problems and creating technical solution proposals.
• Understand and architect cloud computing deals, including evaluating cloud bills and building client commitments.
• Maintain breadth across technologies and deep-dive into new tech as needed.
• Confidently present, persuade and negotiate technical solutions to clients.
• Oversee successful implementation of the proposed solution in delivery and communicate updates to the client.
• Identify opportunities for upsell/cross-sell within existing accounts.
• Maintain C-Level relationships with clients and review new BCW service offerings.

Job Scope

• To support the sales team by understanding client problems/requirements and creating technical solution proposals to meet those needs.
• The candidate must have deep infra understanding and knowledge and be able to understand and architect Cloud computing deals. This involves understanding a Cloud consumption bill from a competing vendor and comparing resources to build estimated client commitments and competitive architectures.
• The successful candidate must have a breadth of knowledge and experience across different technologies with the ability to deep dive on new/unknown technologies efficiently and effectively
• The candidate must be able to confidently present, persuade and negotiate their technical solutions to our clients
• The Solution Architect will oversee the successful implementation of the proposed solution in delivery and make amendments as necessary, communicating back to the client.
• The Solution Architect will seek opportunities for upsell/cross sell within the existing account base
• The Solution Architect will have the experience and maturity to maintain C-Level relationships with our clients
• The candidate will pro-actively review, update and identify new service offerings for BCW clients
