Job summary

The South China Morning Post is seeking an Assistant Manager, People Data and Technology to elevate HR operations, analytics, and digital transformations from its Causeway Bay office.

You will steward the BIPO HRIS, run UATs, automate processes, deliver HR dashboards, and develop SOPs while supporting payroll, audits, and strategic HR projects with external vendors and diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HRIS within a multinational corporation or large conglomerate.
• Hands-on system experience with the BIPO system will be advantageous.
• Proven track record in leading digital transformation, process automation, or AI-enabled initiatives within HR or business operations.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal skills, and able to collaborate with different teams and external vendors.
• Well versed with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and related regulations.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary steward for HRIS (BIPO) and peripheral applications, ensuring high system uptime, rigorous data governance, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Product & Technology team and external vendors to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and execute seamless system upgrades, portal enhancements, and digital workflows.
• Champion process automation and introduce AI-enabled capabilities to streamline routine HR tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Deliver accurate, comprehensive, and timely HR analytics reports and executive dashboards on a regular schedule.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures, user instruction manuals, and documentation on internal knowledge bases (SCOOP).
• Deliver technical support and user training to HR staff and internal stakeholders to drive adoption and optimal utilization of HR platforms.
• Support annual performance and compensation review cycles (salary reviews, bonuses, promotions), managing data consolidation and system updates in BIPO.
• Assist in core C&B operations, including monthly payroll support, internal/external HR audits, year-end tax filings, rental reimbursement compliance, and leave management.
• Support key strategic HR projects and perform ad hoc duties as assigned by leadership.
