Job summary

Social Goods – Modern Bakery is a contemporary bakery in Central & Western District, Hong Kong, seeking a Chef De Partie to manage a kitchen section, ensuring baked products meet the bakery’s standards. You will prepare doughs, batters, bake and finish pastries, breads, and other items with strict quality and portion control.

You will follow recipes, uphold food safety regulations, supervise junior staff in your section, and coordinate with other sections for smooth service.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as Chef De Partie, Demi Chef, or equivalent in bakery/pastry environment.
• Strong baking and pastry production skills including dough handling and lamination.
• Solid understanding of mise en place, station organization, stock rotation and waste control.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and safe storage procedures.
• Ability to lead and support team members within a kitchen section.

Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, batters and pastry items to standard recipes.
• Handle mise en place, bake, finish and plate pastries and breads.
• Maintain consistent quality and portion control across items.
• Monitor stock levels, minimize waste and coordinate with Head/ Pastry Chef on production needs.
