Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a risk management professional to support Deposit Services, Cheque & FPS Clearing, and Branch Operations. You will assist in coordinating risk assessments and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

With a degree in a relevant field and at least three years in banking operations, you will analyse processes, monitor risk indicators, and prepare management reports.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Risk Management, Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years working experience in Retail / Corporate Banking operations with exposure to control aspects and/or product governance.
• Experiences in Retail Banking Products, Cheque & FPS Clearing, and Branch Operations preferred.
• Good knowledge of operation workflow, product development, project management and regulatory requirements.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management; ability to lead and influence.
• Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to maintain operational resilience in Deposit Services, Cheque & FPS Clearing, and Branch Operations.
• Assist in risk assessments via ORM tools (RCSA, KRIs) and product governance.
• Analyse operating environment to identify sources of operational risk.
• Review activities to ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Review risk profiles and investigate events, preparing management reports.
• Coordinate with owners to ensure policies and controls mitigate operational risks.
