Job summary

The Information Technology Services Centre at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Computer Officer to join the networking team. You will help plan, operate, and improve campus network infrastructure, including data, voice, wireless, and security services.

Responsibilities include reviewing network performance, preparing progress reports, and supporting a wide range of networking equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of networking experience in a relevant role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Putonghua) required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular reviews and analyses of network performance.
• Prepare project progress reports and documentation.
• Support data and voice networking equipment and systems.
• Assist in product evaluation, tendering, network development initiatives and staff training.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support; occasional after-hours work may be required.
