Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Network & Server Infrastructure Specialist to lead large-scale migration and transformation projects in a highly available enterprise environment.

You will manage 500–1,000+ VMware virtual servers, administer Windows and Linux servers, and oversee network and security platforms including Fortinet and Cisco devices, ensuring high availability and secure hosting for critical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 8+ years in server, network, and infrastructure support in large enterprise environments.
• Experience leading or supporting large-scale server migration projects.
• Hands-on experience managing 500-1,000+ VMware virtual servers in production.
• Strong VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter expertise.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat or similar enterprise app servers.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, and network security.
• Vendor management experience coordinating third-party providers.
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred.

Job Description

As a Network & Server Infrastructure Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support large-scale server migration and infrastructure transformation projects within a highly available enterprise environment.
• Manage and support environments comprising 500-1,000+ virtual servers hosted on VMware platforms.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server infrastructure to ensure maximum availability and performance.
• Support and manage application server platforms, including Apache Tomcat, ensuring stable and secure application hosting environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and support Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco network and security technologies.
• Implement and manage firewall policies, security controls, network segmentation, and access management standards.
• Perform system monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, and production deployments with minimal business disruption.
• Work closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver infrastructure initiatives and operational improvements.
• Oversee vendor performance, manage service delivery, and ensure project milestones and SLA commitments are met.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards in accordance with regulatory and security requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Network & Server Infrastructure Specialist should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in server, network, and infrastructure support within large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience leading or supporting large-scale server migration projects.
• Hands-on experience managing 500-1,000+ VMware virtual servers in production environments.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting Apache Tomcat or other enterprise application servers.
• Solid knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, and network security.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking infrastructure and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing firewall rules, network security controls, and access policies.
• Proven vendor management experience, including coordinating third-party service providers and infrastructure partners.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.
