Job summary

The Career Works Limited represents a large commercial bank seeking an Senior IT infrastructure Specialist to lead daily network operations and security across LAN/WAN, wireless, Internet services, and VPNs. You will design, deploy, and maintain firewall rules, load balancers and NGINX, plus enterprise Wi‑Fi and NAC solutions, collaborating with development teams to ensure robust, secure environments.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of networking experience, CCNP/HCIP or equivalent

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in network infrastructure support and operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of firewall configuration and Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs.
• Proven ability to design, deploy and manage enterprise Wi‑Fi, NAC and mobility controllers.
• Experience with load balancers, NGINX and high availability strategies.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP and EIGRP routing protocols.
• Ability to work with development teams to provision robust environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a large commercial bank is looking to hire a Senior IT infrastructure Specialist.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide support for daily network operation and maintenance, including fixed(LAN/WAN) networks, wireless connectivity, and Internet services.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining next-generation firewalls to safeguard banking assets. including policy optimization, deploying Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs
• Deploying and managing enterprise load balancer and Nginx, including virtual servers, pools, and custom iRules or traffic policies.to ensure seamless performance and high availability of critical banking applications.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise Wi-Fi networks, including mobility controllers, access points, management platforms and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Partner with application development teams to design and provision robust network environments for development, testing, and production phases.
• Provide high-tier technical troubleshooting to rapidly resolve complex network and connectivity incidents.
• Actively share technical expertise and project experience with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Demonstrate a strong understanding of team dynamics to work effectively across diverse engineering, development, and operational.
• Assist to define network & security related policy and baseline.
• Sound knowledge in EIGRP and OSPF technology
• Overseas branch network support
• Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by management

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

• 1. Education Qualification
• Higher Certificate / Diploma in Computer Science are welcome, Degree holder in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred, not a must
• 2. Working Experiences
• Minimum 5 years' experience in networking infrastructure support
• 3. Professional / HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework Qualification is preferred, but not a must
• 4. Professional Examination/ License
• CCNP\HCIP\H3CSE Or F5, Aruba certification will be an advantage.
