Job summary

CITIC Telecom CPC is seeking a Network Engineer (Overseas and regional exposure) to design and operate network and cloud platforms, covering TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP, and China ISP. You will work across multiple regions to maintain performance and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in network/cloud engineering, hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and strong English/Chinese communication. Regional exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in network and cloud engineering with data center ops and customer support.
• Hands-on with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs, SD-WAN, SASE, cloud providers, DNS, and monitoring tools.
• Certs from Cisco/Juniper/Huawei or public cloud providers preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage network elements in TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP, and China ISP.
• Review and enhance network performance to maintain service levels.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to other departments.

• Carry out standby duties and ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and engineer various network and cloud platforms to meet product specifications and operational requirements.
• Establish, operate, and manage different network and system elements in TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP, and China ISP.
• Review and enhance network performance to maintain high service levels.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to other departments.
• Offer escalation support and collaborate with the operations team on daily operations.
• Carry out emergency duties and perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines with a focus on network and cloud engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in engineering network and cloud platforms, data center operations, and customer technical support in the telecommunications field. Less experienced candidate will be considered as Assistant Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
• Proficient in virtualization tools such as VMware and KVM, as well as containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs, Transmission, SD-WAN, SASE, Internet, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Aliyun), DNS, and network monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
• Professional certification from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or public cloud providers is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Standby duty is required
