Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club seeks a talented Digital Marketing Planner to support Major Raceday campaign communications. You will collaborate with the Digital Marketing Solutions & Services team to build holistic strategies and develop campaign sites that align with our toolkit and branding.

Responsibilities include managing and curating content across official social channels, identifying optimal digital touchpoints, and working with agencies to drive online-to-offline engagement at racecourses,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in digital advertising or media agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing planning and strategy development.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising agency processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Marketing Communication Manager in digital marketing planning for Major Raceday campaign communications.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal Digital Marketing Solutions & Services team on the development of campaign sites.
  • Develop a holistic digital marketing strategy based on the marketing toolkit, incorporating various digital channels.
  • Manage and curate content for all official social media channels to engage the target audience effectively.
  • Identify the right digital touchpoints to reach the target audience and maximize campaign visibility.
  • Work closely with external agencies to create engaging digital engagement programs that drive online to offline engagements at racecourses for our Major Racedays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging and branding across marketing materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and best practices, particularly in the context of advertising agencies.
  • Undertakes other duties as assigned by Senior Manager, Raceday Activation.
  • Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and other Club's policies, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses.

The Division

The Sports Business Division is central to the Club's overall aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand, with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division's overarching focus is to deliver sustainable growth of the Club's sports business, deepen customer engagement, and contribute to position the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand to enable its commitment to social betterment. Its strategy is delivered through three pillars: broadening the fan base and prospecting new customers, growing the sports wagering business, and building the Club's brand and commercialising its assets.

The Job

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in digital advertising or media agencies
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing planning and strategy development
  • Familiarity with digital advertising agency processes and workflows
  • Knowledge of horse racing and passion for the sport will be considered an advantage
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and platforms
  • Proficiency in content management systems and social media management tools
  • Knowledge of website development and user experience principles
  • Familiarity with digital advertising and analytics tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiar in HK media scene
