The Hong Kong Jockey Club seeks an Assistant Trading Programme Manager to provide administrative, coordination, documentation and analytical support to the Trading Programme Lead and project team in delivering wagering and trading-related initiatives.

You will maintain project documentation, coordinate meetings, prepare reports and presentations, and track project activities while supporting communication across internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent (preferably in Business, Sports Management, Information Technology, or related disciplines)
  • 2-5 years of experience in executive support, business support, project coordination, PMO, business analysis or consulting support roles
  • Strong command of written and spoken English for professional communication
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day coordination support to the Trading Programme Lead by arranging meetings, preparing agendas, tracking action items, maintaining project schedules, and following up on outstanding tasks to support timely project delivery
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, status reports, requirements documents, process flows, presentation materials and other project artefacts in accordance with team standards
  • Support communication and coordination among Trading, IT, Data Science, Marketing, Risk Management and external vendors by facilitating information sharing, coordinating meetings and ensuring follow-up actions are tracked and completed
  • Conduct basic research and analysis on wagering products, market information, operational data and user feedback to support project discussions, decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining project plans, milestone trackers and status updates. Compile project progress information and prepare regular updates for management review
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate test activities, track issues and assist in implementation activities to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations and other materials to support project governance meetings, stakeholder communications and management updates
  • Maintain accurate project records, document repositories and version control practices to ensure key information remains accessible and up-to-date
  • Provide administrative, operational and project support for new initiatives, process improvements and other assignments as directed by the Trading Programme Lead
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by line manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Trading Programme Manager provides administrative, coordination, documentation and analytical support to the Trading Programme Lead and project team in delivering wagering and trading-related initiatives.

The role assists in maintaining project documentation, coordinating meetings and follow-up actions, preparing reports and presentations, tracking project activities, and supporting communication among internal stakeholders and external vendors. The incumbent will also conduct basic research and analysis to support project planning, monitoring, testing, and implementation activities.

Reporting to the Trading Programme Lead, the successful candidate will gain exposure to football wagering products, trading operations, project management practices and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. About You
  • University degree or equivalent (preferably in Business, Sports Management, Information Technology, or related disciplines)
  • 2-5 years of experience in executive support, business support, project coordination, PMO, business analysis or consulting support roles
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for Trading Programme Officer position
  • Fresh graduates with strong aptitude and enthusiasm are welcome
  • Proven experience preparing management-quality documents, presentations and reports
  • Solid foundation in documentation practices and requirements elicitation
  • Strong command of written and spoken English for professional communication
  • Excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, ability to quickly learn new business domains and a positive, team player attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word for professional documentation, Excel for data manipulation/analysis/formulas, and PowerPoint for creating visually engaging and data-rich presentations)
  • Experience with Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence or similar tools
  • Foundational knowledge of business processes, basic analytics, and sports industry concepts
