Job summary

Alexis Services Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to drive profitable growth in the Asia Pacific region. You will underwrite, grow a diversified portfolio, and maintain underwriting governance.

You will manage stakeholder relationships, participate in risk reviews, pricing, and data quality, and coach regional teams to build a center of excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant general insurance experience.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management) or Legal preferred
• Professional insurance qualifications are a plus
• Strong portfolio management, risk assessment, analytical, and collaboration skills
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin, or other regional languages is an advantage

Drive the execution of the company plan by underwriting and developing profitable business across the Asia Pacific region, maintaining high standards of underwriting governance, and fostering strong market relationships.

Your Scope

Underwrite and grow a diversified property portfolio across strategic partners and core countries in Asia Pacific

Manage relationships with key market stakeholders and represent the company at local and overseas industry events

Implement control governance processes, including Quality Assurance, technical reviews, and Nat Cat exposure management

Monitor business trends and profitability KPIs while collaborating with Risk Engineers on loss prevention and multinational programs

Utilize pricing and risk assessment tools to ensure price adequacy and maintain high data quality

Coach team members, deliver technical training, and contribute to the regional Property Centre of Excellence

Your Requirement

Minimum 7 years of relevant general insurance experience with a proven track record of underwriting profitable Property business

Degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management) or Legal preferred
